Professor Howard Gardner at IBE

On October 10, 2011, our Institute had a pleasure to host world-renowned researcher, lecturer of Harvard and Boston Universities, professor Howard Gardner, an expert in the field of cognitive psychology and the psychology of learning, creator of the concept of multiple intelligences.
Apart from IBE experts, the meeting was attended by researchers from the University of Warsaw, Pedagogical University in Cracow as well as school and kindergarten teachers.
.The main topics of the discussion, moderated by professor Krzysztof Konarzewski, included:
- indvidualization of the teaching process in schools
- the main barriers for individualization
- the future and the perspectives of the present day schools
- formative assessment
- creativity and evaluation in teaching profession
- standards in schools and standardized testing.
