- Published on Monday, 05 December 2011 02:54
On 19 October 2010 IBE became a member of the College Board. IBE is the first Central Eastern European institution to join.

The College Board is an independent Washington-based organisation of about 6000 educational institutions including middle and high schools, universities, research centres and other organisations involved with education, mainly from the USA. The College Board was founded in 1900 (as the College Entrance Examination Board) with the aim of improving general access to higher education. Besides student recruitment, advice on the course of study and systems of funding, its efforts include the development of education system, educational research, managing a complex data base of schools in the USA and help for physically challenged students. Each year about seven million students in twenty-three thousand middle schools and four thousand schools of higher education take part in programs organised by the College Board.
