The Science Section is planning its efforts in three different spheres: diagnosis, action and monitoring. Identified problems can be matched with related, verified outcomes of exisiting research studies and followed by the implementation of new solutions and monitoring their effects in the network of cooperating schools.
.The mission of the Section is to change the school reality of science education through building research capabilites, teaching and assessment tools, preparing analytical reports etc. The focus of the change is the formation of informed citizens, or people consciously making decisions based on facts and not opinions, distinguishing verifiable data, smoothly moving in the world of information, health, natural environment and social life.
The Section examines the issues in this area are: to make a detailed study of scientific competence in Polish schools, and above all master complex skills, diagnosis of conditions of teaching science to determine its weak points, the implementation of good practices and new educational solutions and assess their effectiveness in improving environmental education.
Special attention is given to establishing the broadest possible co-operation with educational communities: teachers, schools, universities, institutes and NGOs, domestic and foreign.

- Comparative Analysis of Core Curricula Structures in Selected Countries
- Core Curriculum and Subject Teaching Methods Development in the Opinions of Teachers, Head Teachers and Students
- Laboratory of Thinking - Diagnosis of Science Education in Poland
