Educational Research Database Section

Published on Monday, 05 December 2011 03:20

The Educational Research Database Section is an autonomous unit within National and International Relations Unit. The efforts of the Research Database Section focus on monitoring and reviewing of educational studies from years 1989-2015. The Educational Research Database is designed as a convenient source of information for educational researchers, educators and politicians working in the field of education.

.

The main tasks of ERDS include:

  • monitoring and review of Polish educational research resources,
  • meeting the information needs of the Database users in the field of educational research,
  • disseminating the results of Polish educational research.

The above activities require developing an appropriate information collection strategy, selection of metadata, as well as creating an additional tool - Bibe Plus - giving access to data sets, tools and technical documentation of the studies.

The Education Research Database Section strives to ensure the sustainability of access to information on educational research and the integrity and security of the data stored on IBE servers.

The Database Section team aim at developing good practices for the exchange of knowledge, experience and contacts with national and international educational research centres.

The Section leader is Joanna Czapska.
