The Educational Research Institute is conducting a study on the time and working conditions of teachers. The methodology of the study has been prepared in cooperation with a specialized group consisting of institute experts, teaching union representatives, representatives of the Ministry of National Education and educational researchers.
.This is the first complex study of these issues on a random, representative sample of teachers in Poland. The purpose of the study is to provide a deeper analysis and understanding of what impact time and working conditions have on the organization of a teacher’s personal time and school work. The results of the study will allow us to see how a teacher adapts professionally to accommodate the needs of their private and professional life, working with other teachers and personal professional development.
The study methodology involves the simultaneous implementation of two research techniques – questionnaires based, among other things, on what is known as a catalogue of professional activity, which involves the subject filling in an online questionnaire and keeping a "diary" based on the "day-after recall" technique.
The study is being carried out by the independent research company SMG/KRC Poland Media Ltd., which was selected by the IBE through public tender.
