EDULEARN Conference 2011 in Barcelona

Published on Wednesday, 07 December 2011 03:36

From 4 to 6 July 2011 representatives of IBE Science Section took part in the International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies (EDULEARN 2011) in Barcelona in Spain, organised by the International Association of Technology, Education and Development (IATED). More than a thousand representatives from six continents , were invited to take part in four poster sessions and more than eighty discussion sessions.

.

IBE presented preliminary outcomes of its Science Section research:

  • academic poster: Educational Tools To Assess Students' Thinking Skills,
  • academic poster: Teachers' Attitudes Towards School Reform,
  • academic publication: Educational Tools To Assess Students' Thinking Skills, which was published on a disc containing materials for the conference, ISBN:978-84-615-0441-1.

Both the posters and the publication was received with great interest on the part of the researchers, academics and teachers participating in the conference.

For IBE Science Section representatives the conference was an opportunity to gain better understanding of educational research techniques used in other countries, to find out more on the difficulties arising from the introduction of ICT in schools and higher education and to establish contacts with researchers working in the similar areas of study.
