As part of the IBE project “Comparative Analysis of Core Curricula Structures of Selected Countries” the Science Section is carrying out a comparative analysis of biology, chemistry, physics and geography core curricula (and/or equivalent subjects) taught during the academic year 2010-2011 in selected European countries and Poland at gimnazjum level (ISCED2).

.

The aim of the study is to identify similarities and differences in structure and content between the curriculum in Poland and equivalent documents in the UK, France, Finland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Spain, Norway and Holland.

The analysis along with its findings will create a basis for the monitoring and evaluation of the Polish curriculum in science subjects. The study is being carried out by the Science Section in co-operation with experts.
