Professor Grażyna Krasowicz-Kupis

Professor Grażyna Krasowicz-KupisPsychologist and speech therapist. A graduate in psychology from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, she received her Ph.D. and postdoctoral degree from the University of Gdansk. 

Long-time head of the Department of Methodology and Psychological Diagnosis of the Institute of Psychology of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, honorary member of the Polish Dyslexia Association. She was twice a visiting scholar, on Oxford Colleges Hospitality Scheme, at the University of Oxford, UK, at the Department of Experimental Psychology under the academic guidance of professor Peter E. Bryant.

Professor Krasowicz-Kupis has over 20 years of psychological and speech therapy practice. She is the author of numerous publications on dyslexia, literacy issues in children and the development of language, including Psychologia Dysleksji (The Psychology of Dyslexia) (PWN 2008), SLI i inne zaburzenia rozwoju językowego (SLI and other language development disorders) (GWP 2012).

Prof. Krasowicz-Kupis has worked for the Eduactional Research Institute since June 2012. Currently she is the leader of Specific Learning Disorders Unit which was founded in May 2013. In IBE, prof. Krasowicz-Kupis conducts research on early diagnosis of developmental dyslexia.
