National and International Relations Unit

The Unit's focus is the process of strengthening the research and information base of the education system and, in particular:

• identification of the needs of educational communities and conducting evaluation studies on the effectiveness of research results dissemination as well as studies on accessibility of educational information and education-related products,
• training for educational research through the development and commissioning of postgraduate and doctoral programmes in education extended with a component on educational research methodology,
• organizing a series of seminars entitled "Research and education policy" to promote the results of national and international research in the field of education and their use in decision-making process (evidence-based policy)
• stocktaking of existing educational research, including managing the Educational Research Database(Bibe)

The above tasks are carried out in cooperation with national and international research centres and institutions involved in education.
