Magdalena Szpotowicz, PhD

szpotowicz wstazkaMagdalena is the leader of the Foreign Language Section at the Educational Research Institute and a graduate of the Institute of English Studies at the University of Warsaw. She is a lecturer and ESL expert at the Centre for Foreign Language Teacher Training at the University of Warsaw and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Education specialising in the Teaching of English in Early Childhood.

She has developed a number of teaching aids and English language textbooks for primary schools published by Oxford University Press. She led the Foreign Languages Team which developed the new core curriculum. Since 2006 she has been the national director of the international research project on Early Language Learning in Europe. Her research interests include: child language acquisition, English language teaching methods, teacher training and testing and assessment of language skills. Magdalena Szpotowicz died May 7, 2016 year.
