Leader of the Education Economics Unit, she hold a PhD in Economics, lecturer at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw. Specializes in economics of the public sector and, especially, local government. The author of dozens of scientific publications in this field, and also a number of studies promoting economics as science. Leader and participant in the numerous Polish and international research projects. Consultant in the field of local finances in projects carried out both in Poland and abroad, including projects by USAID and the World Bank.

Research Advisor in Education Economics Unit. Professor in the Macroeconomics and International Trade Theory Division at the Department of Economics of the University of Warsaw, Chair of the Labour Market Council in PKPP "Lewiatan" (Polish Confederation of Employers), the director of the Centre for Labour Market Research at the University of Warsaw, a member of the Committee on Employment of the Polish Academy of Sciences, author and co-author of over 140 scientific publications and a number of publications promoting economics especially in the area of the labour market and its relation to macroeconomic processes. Her interests focus on: unemployment, especially structural interdependence of education and the labour market, institutional determinants of the functioning of the labour market, causes of differences in the labour market from territorial and qualifications perspective, sources of differences in participation by gender and the impact of opening up the economy on employment, as well as the effectiveness of economic policy in relation to the labour market and conditioned by the market and, recently, economics of education.
In recent years, she directed or co-directed the work which resulted in the reports: "Analysis of the situation in selected district labour markets and the creation of a methodology for examining the local labour market in Poland" (MLSP 2006), "Education for Work" (UNDP 2007), "Occupational and Educational Activity and family responsibilities" (IBnGR 2007), "Deactivation of people approaching retirement age"(MLSP 2008), "What does (doesn't) Polish school teach?"(FOR 2008), "Study of professional activity of graduates"(MLSP 2008), "Structural and cultural determinants of women's labour in Poland" (Scholar 2009).

Leader of the Medium-term Analyses Team, holds a PhD in Economics, graduated from the University of Warsaw (1997) and the "Columbia Cooperative Program in Economics" jointly run by the University of Warsaw and Columbia University in New York (1997).
Assistant Professor at the University of Warsaw, Centre for European Regional and Local Studies. He specializes in research in the economics of education, the study of businness cycle and regional and local development.
Scholar of the University of Trieste and the programme of Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education - "Support for international mobility of researchers." In 2008-2009 he was a member of the Team of Strategic Advisors to the Prime Minister.
Leader and participant of research projects funded by the Committee for Scientific Research of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Education and the National Science Centre. Participant of international research projects organized by the OECD, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the World Bank. Consultant in education management systems, he worked in Poland, Ukraine, Montenegro and Bulgaria.
Member of the editorial board of the scientific quarterly "Studia Regionalne i Lokalne" ("Regional and Local Studies"). Member of the Polish section of the Regional Studies Association, a research group Economics and Sociology of Education in Poland (ESEP), and the network of Economics of Education in Europe (EENEE). Member of the programme board of the foundation School Leaders.

Dominika Walczak, PhD

Leader of the Teacher Research Unit, she holds PhD in Sociology. Graduate of inter-disciplinary doctoral studies at the The Robert B. Zajonc Institute for Social Studies at the University of Warsaw, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw. Author of publications on the education system.
Her research interests are focused on the sociology of education, especially teachers, the system of higher education, doctoral studies, scientific careers, international mobility of students and researchers and the sociology of gender.
